Welcome to Old Testament Survey

I am Apostle Dr. Trayce Russell, and I am honored to serve as your instructor for this course. I am the Founder and Dean of The TEACH Institute, Senior Pastor of Fresh Anointed Ministries, a certified coach and mentor, and most importantly, a lifelong student of the Word of God. My passion is teaching Scripture in a way that is both spiritually transformative and academically sound.

The Old Testament is not just a collection of ancient stories — it is the foundation of our faith, the unfolding revelation of God’s character, covenant, and redemptive plan. In this course, we will explore the historical background, major themes, key figures, covenant structure, prophetic voices, and theological significance of each section of the Old Testament. My goal is to help you not only understand what the text says, but also why it matters and how it connects to the full biblical narrative.

This will be an engaging, interactive, and thought-provoking class. I expect you to come prepared, ready to participate, ready to think critically, and ready to grow spiritually. Together, we will build a stronger biblical foundation that will equip you for ministry, leadership, and personal spiritual development.
